What makes a Bible translation trustworthy? Should I read more than one translation? Why quote from different Bible translations? How can I find out more about different Bible translations? Which Bible translation should I use? I offer what help I can in answering these great questions.
As a follower of Jesus, I want to be like Him in every way possible. Therefore, my view of Scripture should match His view of Scripture. So I must ask… What did Jesus think about Scripture?
Isn’t it interesting how we go through our lives feeling like most of our moments don’t matter? We go through our days, waiting and reaching for the important moments...And yet Jesus tells us that we prove ourselves faithful in the little things.
As we begin a new year, so often with new goals and hopes for change, I have good news for you! Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to wait for your feelings or your desires to change. They aren’t in charge of what you choose to do. You are.
Why is death the penalty for sin? Have you ever wondered about that? Like, why not something else? Or, even better, some might say, why not just let it go, just forgive, without requiring anything? And have you ever wondered why a “little” sin would earn death just like a “big” sin – why a moment of envy or a little white lie would get the same death penalty as murdering 1000 people in cold blood?
I would like to encourage this, for all of us, for today and for 2023 and for the rest of our days: Pursue Truth. Read the Bible. Study the Bible. This is where Truth is found.
