I don’t usually have a Bible verse or a word or phrase “for the year,” but this year I feel like the Lord brought that idea to my mind as I reviewed Colossians 1:9-14, which is one of my memory passages. So this year, I have one!
It’s a prayer. I love memorizing prayers in the Bible. They help shape how I pray, and they give me words – words I know are right ones – when I don’t have any.
And I am glad to pray this prayer for all of us as we begin this new year, and I will continue praying it for all of us throughout the year.
“…that [we] may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God…” ~Colossians 1:9b-10
